The role involves shipping features, maintaining a distributed AWS‑based cloud platform, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with peers to design scalable solutions across languages such as Scala, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, and Python.

Qualifications

• Experience writing scalable, robust, well‑tested code.
• Proficiency in statically typed languages (Scala/Elixir/Java/Go/C++).
• Solid HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience with modern frameworks.
• Experience with React/ES2016, Redux, jQuery, TypeScript, Rails.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Mocha/Chai/Jest/RSpec).
• Track record shipping software amid ambiguity.
• Experience with databases including Postgres and NoSQL, Elasticsearch, AWS.
• Ability to work across multiple languages in a heterogeneous stack.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high‑quality customer‑facing features.
• Maintain and improve a distributed cloud platform running on AWS.
• Mentor other engineers and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with developers, engineering management, and product owners to design solutions.
