Job summary

Google Cloud Customer Engineers accelerate customer success by providing domain-specific technical expertise and influencing product direction. You will partner with sales teams as a data management SME to differentiate Google Cloud and help customers design and migrate their data and applications.

You will engage with technical and executive stakeholders, present practical solutions, troubleshoot migration roadblocks, and travel to customer sites and events as needed to advocate for Google

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience architecting data transformation, migration, governance strategies, high availability, or disaster recovery.
• Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities; understand key customer technical objections; develop strategy to resolve blockers.
• Share in‑depth storage and database expertise to support technical relationships with customers, including tech advocacy, bid responses, product briefings, POC work, and collaboration with product management.
• Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
• Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure for a complete Google Cloud solution.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences and related events as required, acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud.
