Job summary

EY is seeking a Data and Cloud Engineering Manager to turn data and AI capabilities into scalable, reliable, governable production solutions. You will own workstreams, client interactions, budgets and engagement economics, while leading technical talent and commercial acumen.

You will design and run the underlying cloud and container platform, build scalable pipelines using Python/SQL, and apply modern data architecture and governance. Strong Azure experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree).
• Typically, 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience operating High Availability services on Azure (4+ years).
• Expert understanding of core Azure services (Functions, Container Apps, SQL Database, Blob Storage, AKS, Monitor, Prometheus).
• Experience designing and managing container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Experience implementing SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
• Experience monitoring container-based microservices & cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more technical workstreams and assure delivery quality.
• Translate business requirements into architecture, pipelines, models or production platforms.
• Maintain daily client engagement and identify adjacent service opportunities.
• Manage resource plans, budgets and engagement economics.
• Own problems from data ingestion to production handoff.
• Automate and optimize processes and tooling across cross-functional teams.
• Remain hands-on with version-controlled, observable code.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure high availability, reliability and performance.
• Design and run cloud platforms and container infrastructure for production use.
• Build scalable pipelines and streaming architectures using Python/SQL and cloud platforms (Azure predominantly; AWS/GCP also key).
• Apply data architecture, modelling, integration, quality, security and semantic layers.
• Apply QA/testing practices and cloud/distributed-system principles.
• Incorporate GenAI/LLM capabilities where relevant.
• Apply Agile delivery methods and governance while enabling operational support.
