Job summary

Slalom is a fiercely human business and technology consulting company helping clients accelerate digital transformation. As a Data Engineer you will design, build, and operate scalable data platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake, partnering with architects and delivery teams.

You’ll translate business needs into data solutions, build batch and streaming pipelines, ensure governance and security, and contribute to reusable patterns and engineering communities.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one major cloud or data platform (AWS/Azure/GCP/Databricks/Snowflake).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java and/or Scala.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, streaming, and data governance.
• Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, and cloud data tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native data platforms and data products.
• Develop batch and streaming data pipelines and orchestrations.
• Translate business requirements into maintainable data solutions.
• Work across AWS/Azure/GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake to meet client needs.
• Apply software engineering practices including CI/CD, tests, and observability.
• Contribute to reusable patterns and knowledge sharing within Slalom.
