Job summary

Slalom in Houston is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Google COE, building and modernizing enterprise data platforms on Google Cloud Platform.

You will deliver solutions with BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI and Looker, collaborating in cross-functional teams.

This role requires hands-on delivery, a passion for data, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional on-site engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience building data platforms on Google Cloud (GCP).
• Ability to design, build and modernize data pipelines in batch and streaming modes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise data platforms on GCP.
• Deliver solutions using BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI and Looker.
• Participate in design sessions and ensure timely completion of development items.
• Work in a hybrid environment and be willing to travel to client sites as needed.
