Job summary

CapTech is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to help clients build and maintain data systems by delivering pipelines and data products. You’ll work across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, advising on technologies and best practices to ingest and process data at scale.

You’ll collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to maximize data value and ensure robust architectures, while leveraging modern cloud data tools and frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering solutions on a major cloud platform.
• Ability to relate architectural decisions to business needs and client culture.
• Experience in design and implementation of data architecture solutions.
• Wide range of production database experience, including SQL, database administration, and scripting data pipelines.
• Ability to assess and utilize traditional and modern architectural components based on business needs.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver production data pipelines and other data products.

Responsibilities

• Developing data pipelines and other data products using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Advising clients on technologies and methodologies for efficient data ingestion and processing.
• Utilizing engineering best practices to solve complex data problems.
• Collaborating with end users, developers, and analysts to maximize data value across the organization.
• Articulating architectural differences between solution methods and their pros/cons.
