Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Product Solutions Architect for Cloud Cost Management (CCM) to partner with customers and the CCM product team. You will design use cases, implement best practices, and drive CCM adoption across environments, including cost allocation, token usage, budgets, and optimization recommendations.

You will guide capacity planning, cloud cost models, and show how tag pipelines map costs to teams and units.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering foundation with hands-on experience managing, allocating, or optimizing cloud spend or building FinOps programs.
• Comfortable diving into billing data and architectural tradeoffs to understand what drives cost.
• Familiar with querying and modeling large billing datasets, tagging strategies, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with Python and/or SQL for data analysis and cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the in-house SME for CCM costs, including cost visibility across clouds and container cost allocation.
• Provide architectural guidance on capacity planning and cost-performance trade-offs.
• Help enterprise clients track real-time AI spend, set up cost anomaly monitoring, and map usage to business outcomes.
• Create high-impact technical collateral to enable Field teams and customers.
• Act as trusted advisor to Product Management, shaping CCM roadmap based on field feedback.
