Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Software Development Engineer II on the AWS Field Experience (AFX) team to design and build distributed systems powering contract lifecycle management and approval workflows at scale.

You will own services that generate contract documents and orchestrate multi-stage approvals, integrating with e-signature and CLM platforms while aligning with deal desk, legal, finance, and solutions architecture teams.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship software development experience
2+ years of design/architecture experience
1+ years of SDE or related experience
1+ years of developing large-scale distributed software
1+ years of OO design
Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field
Experience programming in at least one language

Responsibilities

Design and build distributed services and APIs for contract lifecycle management and approvals across the AWS field
Develop and optimize multi-stage routing, gating, and workflow orchestration engines
Build and maintain integrations with e-signature and CLM platforms (e.g., DocuSign IAM/CLM) and Salesforce-based contracting systems
Implement LLM-powered workflows and automation to reduce manual drafting and review effort
Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers
Identify root causes of operational issues and drive permanent fixes across stakeholders
