Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Software Development Engineer II to design distributed systems, data pipelines, and LLM-powered automation for the AWS Field Experience (AFX) team in Seattle.

You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, write high-quality code, and collaborate with partners across sales, marketing, and solutions architecture to meet customer needs. You will participate in design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive permanent fixes for operational issues while

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed services and APIs powering go-to-market tooling.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines synchronizing account data across systems at scale.
• Implement LLM-powered workflows and automation to reduce manual effort and generate insights.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor engineers through documentation and pairing sessions.
• Identify root causes of operational issues and drive permanent fixes with cross-team collaboration.
