Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a talented Capacity Planner to build and maintain a rolling cloud capacity forecast, coordinating with CSPs and internal teams to ensure on-time capacity with optimal spend. You will work across CSPs, Sales, Engineering and FinOps to align demand, reservations and budgets.

The role emphasizes mentoring teammates and introducing AI-enabled forecasting tools to improve speed and accuracy across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience, or a master's degree with 6+ years.
• Experience in cloud or infrastructure capacity planning across AWS/Azure/GCP, including quotas and reservations.
• Experience building demand forecasts and scenario models.
• Experience building reports and dashboards.
• Experience with FinOps or finance teams on cloud cost management and reservations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a rolling capacity forecast by CSP, region, workload and resource type.
• Compare demand against supply and coordinate with CSPs on reservations to ensure timely capacity.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and FinOps to align lead times and costs.
• Mentor other capacity planners and introduce AI-enabled forecasting tools.
