Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Cloud Capacity Planner to build rolling forecasts for CSPs, regions, workloads and resources. You will align demand with supply, coordinate CSP reservations, and partner with Sales, Engineering and FinOps on lead times, capacity protections during maintenance, and budgeting.

You will mentor teammates and introduce AI-enabled tools to accelerate planning, aiming for sharper forecasts, on-time deliveries, and clear capacity ownership across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience, or a master's with 6+ years.
• Experience in cloud or infrastructure capacity planning (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience building demand forecasts and scenario models.
• Experience building reports and dashboards.
• Experience with FinOps or finance teams on cloud cost management and reservations.

Responsibilities

• Build rolling capacity forecasts by CSP, region, workload and resource type.
• Compare demand vs. available supply and coordinate reservations with CSPs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and FinOps on lead times, maintenance and budgets.
• Mentor capacity planners and introduce AI-enabled forecasting tools.
• Measure success via forecast accuracy, on-time deliveries and gap plans.
