Job summary

Cisco Systems is seeking a senior Cloud Capacity Planner to build and maintain forecasts for CSP capacity across regions and resource types. You will align demand with supply, negotiate CSP reservations, and work with Sales, Engineering, and FinOps to ensure on-time capacity and optimized spend.

You’ll mentor teammates, introduce AI-assisted forecasting tools, and drive measurable improvements in forecast accuracy and delivery reliability across global cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in a related field
• Experience in cloud/infrastructure capacity planning (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience building demand forecasts and scenario models
• Experience building reports and dashboards
• Experience with FinOps or cloud cost management

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a rolling capacity forecast by CSP, region, workload and resource type.
• Compare demand from sales, bookings and roadmaps against supply; coordinate with CSPs on reservations.
• Collaborate with Sales on lead times, with Eng on maintenance windows, and with FinOps on cost reconciliation.
• Mentor fellow capacity planners and introduce AI-enabled tools for faster planning.
• Measure success via sharper forecasts, on-time deliveries, and defined owners for capacity gaps.
