Job summary

Encompass Digital Media, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Broadcast Engineer to design, implement, and automate cloud-based broadcast distribution for Altitude products. You will work with Linux, virtualization, and CI/CD to ensure secure, scalable delivery of OTT content.

Responsibilities include 2nd/3rd line support, incident response, and collaboration with security/compliance teams to meet ISO 27001 and SOC 2 baselines. Flexible to follow-the-sun with regional engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with broadcast distribution environments and systems.
• Deep knowledge of IP-based video transport protocols (SRT, Zixi).
• Experience with video encoding standards (H.264/HEVC/JPEG XS) and ABR workflows.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and network security fundamentals.
• Experience with IaC tools and cloud platforms.
• Ability to work in a follow-the-sun model and across regions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Encompass cloud distribution products and apps.
• Ensure security, resilience, and availability aligned with ITIL practices.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support and incident response, including off-hours work.
• Automate deployments using IaC and CI/CD principles.
• Develop monitoring, analytics, and thorough documentation.
• Coordinate with regional teams for handover and knowledge transfer.
• Estimate tasks, manage risks, and report progress.
