Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud and Automation Engineer to join a Hybrid Azure and on-premises environment for a top Financial Services client. The role focuses on modernizing infrastructure, building reusable Terraform modules, and delivering secure, automated cloud solutions across Azure and on-prem stacks.

You will lead IaC initiatives, design scalable systems, develop CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and implement configuration management with Ansible, collaborating with engineering,

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of Cloud, Systems, or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong Azure Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Expertise deploying Azure Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Advanced Terraform experience, including reusable modules and enterprise-scale automation.
• Azure DevOps experience, including YAML pipelines, repos, and release processes.
• Ansible (or similar CM tool) experience.
• Infrastructure and operational automation expertise.
• Hybrid cloud experience (Azure + on-prem).
• Strong troubleshooting across infra, networking, storage, virtualization and identity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create automated provisioning, configuration, and operational processes.

• Partner with application, security, and infrastructure teams on platform design.
• Drive cloud modernization and infrastructure standardization efforts.
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning multiple infrastructure layers.
• Develop documentation, standards, runbooks, and engineering best practices.
• Apply SRE principles to improve reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Evaluate and implement cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
• Reduce manual administration through reusable automation and self-service capabilities.
• Assist with strategic decisions around cloud adoption and workload placement.

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud and Automation Engineer for a top Financial Services client. This candidate will join a growing Cloud and Infrastructure team focused on modernizing and automating a hybrid Azure and on-premises environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep Azure infrastructure engineering expertise and have the ability to lead enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Terraform and Azure DevOps. This individual will be responsible for designing scalable cloud solutions, developing reusable Terraform modules, building CI/CD pipelines, and implementing configuration management through Ansible or similar technologies. The role requires a strong systems engineering mindset, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and a passion for automating operational processes. The candidate will work closely with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver resilient, secure, and highly automated infrastructure solutions while helping the organization mature its cloud engineering practices and reduce reliance on manual support activities.

Day-to-Day:
