Job summary

Wellmark, Inc. is seeking a senior architecture leader to drive incubation of new capabilities across data centers and enterprise. You will guide a team through discovery, proof-of-concept, and transition to production, ensuring guardrails and patterns support scalable delivery.

You will partner with engineering, security, operations and product teams to align experiments with business outcomes, standards, and long-term technology strategy, fostering disciplined innovation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading architecture teams and delivering enterprise-scale capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, platform architecture, security, resilience and data center operations.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and transition of incubation to production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead incubation of new architecture capabilities across data centers and enterprise.
• Direct a team of architects through discovery, POC development, validation and transition to operations.
• Define guardrails, reference patterns and adoption pathways for scalable capabilities.
• Partner with data center engineering, infrastructure, security, operations, product and enterprise architecture leaders.
• Create an environment that balances disciplined innovation with reliability and compliance.
