Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield in Des Moines, IA seeks an enterprise technology leader to define and execute strategy for platform services, architecture, cloud, data, and AI adoption. You will establish reusable capabilities, modern engineering standards, automation, and a product mindset across platform services to move faster with greater value.

Partner with the CIO and senior leadership to align investments, balance innovation with risk, and drive transformation across the organization.

Qualifications

10+ years aligning enterprise technology strategy with business objectives.
5+ years senior leadership experience in a complex enterprise.
Proven success modernizing shared enterprise platforms & engineering capabilities.
Deep engineering & architecture credibility with business and financial acumen.
Experience leading automation, DevSecOps, secure software delivery, observability, reliability.
Experience enabling secure and governed enterprise data & AI capabilities.
Proven ability to lead enterprise transformation & cross‑functional collaboration.
Executive presence & communication skills for senior/board audiences.

Responsibilities
