Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a seasoned finance professional to own the forecasting and management of cloud and AI costs across infrastructure, engineering, and product groups. You will build futures, explain variances, and drive cost-efficient initiatives without sacrificing performance or user experience.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to size cost drivers, validate models, and present clear financial narratives to senior leadership, while tracking savings and ensuring data traceability

Qualifications

• 10+ years in finance, FP&A, or cost management
• Experience with cloud infrastructure cost forecasting preferred
• Ability to build and maintain complex financial models in fast-changing environments
• Strong collaboration with engineering/technical teams to translate usage data into insights

Responsibilities

• Own the cloud/AI cost forecast and reconcile against plan
• Track AI spend by category and model/provider mix
• Size and prioritize efficiency initiatives with engineering teams
• Create cost narratives for senior leadership and stakeholders
• Identify and quantify new cost-efficiency opportunities and track savings
• Lead monthly/adhoc cost reviews with Finance and Tech leadership
