Bass Pro Shops in Altoona, IA is seeking an Apparel Processing Outfitter to manage the intake, processing, and stocking of apparel merchandise from receipt to sales floor. You will ensure adherence to Visual Merchandising standards and operate the inventory system to replenish stock efficiently.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and strong customer service. Part-time schedule, eligibility for discounts and benefits is available according to store policies.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills to interpret plan-o-grams and visual merchandising guides.
• Ability to review replenishment reporting to organize stock and fill the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Process apparel shipments at receipt per standards and use the inventory system.
• Replenish merchandise to the sales floor per visual standards.
• Stay informed on advertised sales to aid backroom organization.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signage.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Maintain organized backstock and accessibility of merchandise.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Apparel Processing Outfitter is responsible for the overall processing of all apparel merchandise shipments from receipt of goods to stocking on Sales Floor & Receiving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Effectively processes all apparel merchandise at time of receipt, adhering to all Visual Merchandising & MPS Standards, and utilizing the inventory management system. 50%
• Systematically replenishes merchandise to the sales floor as required per the Visual Merchandising Standards utilizing the inventory management system. 10%
• Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales to promote effective backroom organization and replenishment. 10%
• Unloads trucks as needed. 10%
• Assists with pricing maintenance and signage of merchandise. 5%
• Keeps work area clean, neat, organized and well stocked with supplies. 5%
• Ensure backstock merchandise remains organized and accessible. 5%
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and ensures a pleasant shopping experience for all guests. 5%
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to use company computer systems and devices such as System Two, RF/Gizmo devices & Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to process and organize information to include plan-o-grams, visual guides & merchandising standards.
• Ability to review replenishment reporting to organize merchandise to fill the sales floor.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other outfitters.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.

Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
