Job summary

Cape Cod Collaborative – Transportation Department is seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to manage the 10:00 AM–6:00 PM closing shift. You will coordinate afternoon dispatch communications, handle route updates, and ensure accurate end-of-day logs and billing records across districts.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, collaboration with Operations and Transportation managers, and seamless communication with drivers, school staff, and families to keep routes running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatching, logistics, or school transportation billing preferred.
• High accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to stay calm during busy afternoons.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Closing Operations: manage afternoon dispatch communications and routing during 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
• Serve as primary contact for drivers, school admins, and families regarding afternoon logistics.
• Address real-time schedule issues, weather delays, and adjustments with composure.
• Complete daily closing checklists and ensure vehicles/routes are accounted for and logs handed off.
