Jobot in Columbia, SC seeks a Closing Paralegal / Real Estate Closer to manage the full real estate transaction cycle from contract to post-closing. You will prepare and review closing documents, coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, title companies and attorneys to keep closings on track.

The ideal candidate has a paralegal certificate or college degree and at least 2 years of closing experience, with 5 years preferred.

• Utilize closing software such as SoftPro, ResWare, or Qualia to manage transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full real estate transaction cycle from contract execution through post-closing
• Prepare and review closing documents including title commitments, settlement statements, deeds, and loan documents
• Coordinate closely with lenders, real estate agents, title companies, and attorneys throughout the transaction process
• Maintain organized transaction files and ensure all deadlines and compliance requirements are met
• Communicate proactively with all parties to keep closings on track and resolve any issues that arise
• Utilize closing software such as SoftPro, ResWare, or Qualia to manage transactions efficiently

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate, associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a real estate closing environment
• Minimum 2 years of real estate closing experience, with 5 years being ideal
• Experience managing residential or commercial transactions from contract through post-closing
• Strong working knowledge of title commitments, settlement statements, deeds, and loan documentation
• Familiarity with SoftPro, ResWare, Qualia, or similar closing software is a strong plus
• Proven ability to manage multiple active files simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with lenders, agents, and legal counsel
