Summary
The CLM Business Analyst provides dedicated analytical, process, and platform support to the Contract Lifecycle Management program at Energy Transfer. This role works directly under the CLM Product Owner to document business processes, gather and translate requirements, support platform configuration activities, drive user adoption, and ensure the Agiloft CLM platform continues to deliver business value post-implementation.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role — the analytical and process engine that enables the CLM Product Owner to focus on strategy, roadmap, and stakeholder leadership. The CLM BA is detail-oriented, platform-savvy, and comfortable operating at the intersection of business process and technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Process Documentation & Analysis
- Document current-state and future-state CLM business processes using process maps, swim lane diagrams, and SOPs
- Identify process gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities across contract workflows
- Maintain the CLM process library, governance documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Support process redesign efforts in preparation for platform enhancements or workflow changes
Requirements Gathering & Translation
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders across Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Operations
- Translate business requirements into clear, structured platform requirements and user stories
- Maintain and groom the CLM product backlog in coordination with the CLM Product Owner
- Support sprint planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release documentation
Platform Support & Adoption
- Serve as a day-to-day resource for CLM platform questions, user issues, and process guidance
- Develop and maintain user training materials, job aids, and quick reference guides
- Support onboarding of new CLM users and business units
- Track and report on platform utilization and adoption metrics
- Coordinate with the third-party solution architect on configuration updates and issue resolution
Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain CLM dashboards and reporting outputs for the CLM Product Owner and senior leadership
- Analyze contract data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Support compliance and obligation management reporting as needed
Requirements
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 2 - 5 years of experience in business analysis, process documentation, or enterprise platform support
- Experience working with enterprise software platforms from the business or analyst side
- Strong business process documentation skills — process maps, SOPs, workflow diagrams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Strong written communication skills — able to produce clear, structured documentation
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills
- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
- The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agiloft, Icertis, Conga, DocuSign CLM, or comparable CLM or procurement platform
- Familiarity with Agile delivery and product backlog management
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent business analysis certification
- Experience in energy, midstream, or industrial sector
- Exposure to Legal Operations, contract management, or procurement processes
- Business process analysis and documentation
- Requirements gathering and translation

- Collaborative, service-oriented work style
Working Conditions
- Usually, normal office working conditions
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
