Job summary

The Children’s Home of Reading is hiring a Clinician for the ORR Program, based across Bethlehem and Doylestown, PA. This full-time role involves delivering individual and group counseling, conducting mental health assessments, and coordinating crisis responses to support youth outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s/Doctorate in a behavioral field and PA licensure or be pursuing licensure within 3 years. Training and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Master’s or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage & family counseling, or similar field with clinical experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Non-licensed staff must pursue licensure within 3 years of employment.
• Have integrity and good moral character for work with children in residential/foster care.
• Pass ORR background investigations and immunization requirements.
• Complete ORR-required pre-service training and CHOR Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly individual counseling to assigned UACs.
• Lead group counseling sessions twice weekly.
• Conduct mental health assessments for new and ongoing cases.
• Screen for trauma history and trafficking indicators.
• Deliver crisis support and coordinate emergency behavioral health response.
• Document clinical services in the UAC Portal and health records.
• Provide on-site child-facing clinical services at the program location.
• Participate in clinical case reviews and consult with Lead Clinician.
• Attend trainings on evidence-based mental health practices.
• Exercise independent judgment per policy and ORR requirements.
