Job summary

The Children’s Home of Reading is seeking a Clinician for the ORR Program to provide weekly individual and group counseling, mental health assessments, and crisis support at program locations in Bethlehem and Doylestown, PA. Full-time with paid training and growth opportunities.

Applicants should hold a master’s or doctoral degree in a behavioral health field, be licensed or eligible for PA licensure, and commit to ORR requirements and CHOR policies. Competitive benefits and DailyPay available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited program in psychology, social work, counseling or related clinical field.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Non-licensed staff must be actively working toward licensure and attain licensure within 3 years of employment.
• Must have integrity and good moral character for working with children in residential/foster care.
• Must pass ORR background investigations.
• Must provide proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases and meet health screening requirements including TB.
• Must complete ORR pre-service training and sign CHOR Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provides weekly individual counseling to assigned UACs.
• Facilitates group counseling sessions twice weekly.
• Conducts mental health assessments for new and ongoing UACs.
• Screens for trauma history and human trafficking indicators.
• Delivers crisis support and coordinates emergency behavioral health response.
• Documents clinical services in health records system.
• Delivers on-site child-facing clinical services at program location.
• Participates in clinical case review and consultation with Lead Clinician.
• Completes training on evidence-based practices in mental health care.
