Job summary

CARE of Southeast Michigan in Roseville, Michigan, is seeking a licensed mental health professional for a part-time outpatient role. The position offers 15–18 hours per week with afternoon and evening shifts at $31 per hour.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, creating individualized treatment plans, and meeting with patients regularly to provide counseling and assess progress. A Master’s degree and current licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or related field.
• Active licensure or certification (LLMSW, LMSW, LPC, etc.) is required by the governing body.
• CAADC certification by Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals or a registered development plan is required.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders. Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances. Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.

Description of responsibilities:

• Conducts screenings and comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for substance use disorders for those individuals seeking outpatient counseling services and co-occurring behavioral health issues according to best practices and agency policy and procedures including the identification of a diagnosis.
• Conducts counseling for individuals and groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance use, or family situations.
• Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans that are developed with a Person-centered/Family-centered philosophy.

Required skills / education:

• A Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or other related and applicable degree.
• Must possess active status, with licensure or certification in accordance to the professional field required by that governing body (LLMSW, LMSW, LPC, etc.) and one of the following:
  • Certified by Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (specifically Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or
  • Must have a registered development plan and be timely in its implementation.
