CARE of Southeast Michigan is seeking a part-time mental health professional to provide counseling, case management, and assessments for adults with chronic psychiatric conditions. The role requires licensure (LLMSW/LMSW/LPC, etc.) and a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or related field.

Responsibilities include evidence-based assessments, treatment planning, and insurance authorizations, with 15–18 hours per week in afternoons/evenings.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience providing individual/group therapy and/or EAP counseling.
• Active licensure or certification (LLMSW, LMSW, LPC, etc.) in the relevant field.
• Certification by Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (CAADC) or timeliness in development plan implementation.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialized mental health care, counseling, and case management for adults with chronic psychiatric conditions.
• Conduct mental health assessments and treatment planning using evidence-based practices.
• Manage insurance/outpatient authorizations for your caseload.
• Perform biopsychosocial assessments for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Offer individual and group counseling addressing stress, substance use, or family issues.
• Develop and implement person-centered/family-centered treatment plans.

Salary : $31.00 per hour

Job Summary

Provides specialized mental health care, counseling and case management to adults diagnosed with chronic, severe psychiatric conditions.

Description of responsibilities:

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for SMI, and SUD.
• Strong clinical skills in Mental Health Assessments and treatment, including work with adults experiencing SMI, and SUD.
• Monitors and completes insurance/outpatient authorizations for patient caseload
• Conducts screenings and comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for substance use disorders for those individuals seeking outpatient counseling services and co-occurring behavioral health issues according to best practices and agency policy and procedures including the identification of a diagnosis.
• Conducts counseling for individuals and groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance use, or family situations.
• Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans that are developed with a Person-centered/Family-centered philosophy.

Required experience:

• One or more years experience providing individual/group therapy and/or EAP (Employee Assistance Program) counseling.

Required skills / education:

• A Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or other related and applicable degree.
• Must possess active status, with licensure or certification in accordance to the professional field required by that governing body (LLMSW, LMSW, LPC, etc.) and one of the following:
  • Certified by Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (specifically Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or
  • Must have a registered development plan and be timely in its implementation.
