Qualifications

Community Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking Clinician Informaticist to help ensure our electronic health record systems, clinical workflows, and data strategies support efficient care delivery, informed decision-making, and positive patient outcomes.

In this highly collaborative role, you will serve as a bridge between frontline clinicians, Information Technology, Clinical Analytics, Quality, and operational leadership. You will help translate clinical needs into practical technology solutions—making systems more intuitive, documentation more efficient, and data more meaningful.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

Optimize Clinical Systems and Workflows

• Serve as a liaison among clinical teams, Information Technology, Clinical Analytics, Quality, and operational leadership.
• Ensure EHR functionality supports provider workflows, documentation requirements, and organizational priorities.
• Participate in the design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of clinical workflows, order sets, templates, and documentation tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve EHR usability, clinical decision support, provider efficiency, and patient safety.
• Assist with the development and deployment of clinical dashboards, reporting tools, and other informatics solutions.
• Evaluate emerging healthcare technologies, mobile health applications, and patient engagement platforms.

Support Clinicians Through Education and Change

• Provide clinical support during system implementations, EHR upgrades, go-lives, and optimization initiatives.
• Serve as an EHR superuser and trusted resource for clinicians and staff.
• Develop and deliver practical training, guidance, and documentation for providers, medical assistants, and other clinical users.
• Translate technical concepts and complex informatics solutions into clear, actionable tools for frontline teams.
• Support change-management efforts that encourage effective and consistent technology adoption.

Strengthen Quality and Data Integrity

• Collaborate with Quality and Performance Improvement teams to identify data needs and support clinical quality initiatives.
• Assist with data hygiene, validation, and reporting related to HEDIS, UDS, population health, and value-based care programs.
• Participate in root-cause analyses and data-validation activities to improve the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of clinical information.
• Help align health information technology tools with clinical objectives, quality measures, and regulatory requirements.

Promote Governance, Privacy, and Compliance

• Participate in HIT steering committees, clinical workflow councils, change-control boards, and other interdisciplinary workgroups.
• Support responsible data governance and appropriate use of clinical information.
• Ensure clinical documentation and data practices comply with HIPAA, the 21st Century Cures Act, and other applicable privacy, security, and regulatory standards.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Current license as a healthcare professional, such as an MD, DO, NP, PA, RN, PharmD, or equivalent.
• At least three years of clinical experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with electronic health record systems, such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, or NextGen.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and quality-reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, technical teams, administrators, and organizational leaders.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold data privacy and security standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree, formal education, or specialized training in Clinical Informatics, Health Informatics, or Health Information Technology.
• Board certification in Clinical Informatics for physicians or completion of the AMIA 10x10 program.
• Experience with clinical quality improvement, population health, care management, or value-based care programs.
• Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Center reporting requirements, including UDS and HEDIS measures.
• Experience using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or EHR-native reporting tools.
• Familiarity with healthcare terminology and data standards, including SNOMED CT, LOINC, and ICD-10.
• Experience leading or co-leading technology implementations, training programs, or change-management initiatives.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work is primarily performed in an office, clinical, or approved remote-work environment.
• The position requires extended periods of computer use and the ability to operate standard office and mobile technology.
• Duties may involve sitting, standing, and walking through clinical and administrative areas.
• Visual acuity is required to review data, reports, and electronic systems.
• Occasional travel between CHA locations or to trainings, conferences, and system go-lives may be required.
• The position generally follows standard business hours, with occasional flexibility for early mornings, evenings, or weekends during implementations and go-live activities.
