Job summary

InterCommunity, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike (FQHC LA) providing accessible behavioral health care in Connecticut. We seek a Clinician II to deliver trauma-informed clinical services and coordinate with diverse community partners.

Requirements include a Master’s in Behavioral Health and advanced CT licensure with 2 years in recovery-oriented settings.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Behavioral Health and CT licensure with 2 years in recovery-oriented behavioral health care.
  • Trauma-informed practice experience preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate care with hospitals, jails, shelters, and community agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma informed clinical services in triage, crisis intervention, assessment, individual/group/family therapy.
  • Complete documentation per established procedures.
  • Coordinate care/referrals with hospitals, ERs, jails, shelters, and community providers.
  • Meet productivity standards for the role.
  • Attend required department/provider meetings and trainings.
  • Develop new programs and models of treatment; engage in capacity building.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Summary:

Accountable for independently providing trauma informed clinical services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide trauma informed clinical services in form of triage, crisis intervention, assessment, individual, group and/or family therapy, screening, treatment planning and referral within a multidisciplinary team and departmental coverage for staff absences
  • Complete all required documentation related to client treatment in accordance with established procedures
  • Provide coordination of care and referral with other community agencies i.e. hospitals, emergency rooms, jails, homeless shelters, outpatient programs, etc.) and consults and collaborates with other behavioral/ medical health providers.
  • Meet productivity standard for the position and role
  • Attendance and participation in all required departmental staff meetings, all provider meetings, supervision including peer meetings including but not limited to systems feedback, problem solving and support for development protocols which enhance service delivery.
  • Participation in trainings to bring new service delivery options to clinical care (i.e. EMDR, ART etc.)
  • Program development (new groups, new models of treatment, evidence-based practices)
  • Internal capacity building (i.e. staff embedded in schools, community outreach and education)
  • Perform related duties as required.

*All agency staff are required to attend all mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings*

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 PM

Requirements
Education &/Or Experience:

Clinician II: Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health discipline from an Accredited University and advanced Licensure in the State of Connecticut as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) with 2 years experience in recovery orientated system of care in a behavioral health setting.
