Job summary

InterCommunity, a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike (FQHC LA), seeks a Clinician II to provide trauma-informed clinical services and comprehensive behavioral health treatment across our centers in Hartford and East Hartford. Role includes triage, crisis intervention, individual/group/family therapy, and care coordination with community partners.

Education requirements include a Master’s in Behavioral Health and CT licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or related field required.
• Advanced licensure in CT (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) with 2+ years in recovery-oriented behavioral health.
• Experience providing trauma-informed care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed clinical services including triage, crisis intervention, assessment, and therapy.
• Complete documentation of client treatment per procedures.
• Coordinate care with hospitals, jails, shelters, and community programs.

Summary

Accountable for independently providing trauma informed clinical services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide trauma informed clinical services in form of triage, crisis intervention, assessment, individual, group and/or family therapy, screening, treatment planning and referral within a multidisciplinary team and departmental coverage for staff absences
• Complete all required documentation related to client treatment in accordance with established procedures
• Provide coordination of care and referral with other community agencies i.e. hospitals, emergency rooms, jails, homeless shelters, outpatient programs, etc.) and consults and collaborates with other behavioral/ medical health providers.
• Meet productivity standard for the position and role
• Attendance and participation in all required departmental staff meetings, all provider meetings, supervision including peer meetings including but not limited to systems feedback, problem solving and support for development protocols which enhance service delivery.
• Participation in trainings to bring new service delivery options to clinical care (i.e. EMDR, ART etc.)
• Program development (new groups, new models of treatment, evidence-based practices)
• Internal capacity building (i.e. staff embedded in schools, community outreach and education)
• Perform related duties as required.
• All agency staff are required to attend all mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 PM

Requirements

Education &/Or Experience:

Clinician II: Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health discipline from an Accredited University and advanced Licensure in the State of Connecticut as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) with 2 years experience in recovery orientated system of care in a behavioral health setting.
