Job summary

East State Veterinary Clinic offers an externship for clinical-year veterinary students to gain hands-on experience in day-to-day operations under the supervision of Associate Veterinarians.

You will work on gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, and observing or performing surgical procedures, while also practicing communication with the medical team and clients.

Qualifications

• Externships are designed for clinical-year veterinary students.
• Applicants must be in the clinical portion of their education.
• Experience with gathering histories, exams, and treatment planning is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in history taking, physical exams, and treatment planning.
• Learn diagnostics, dentistry, and observe or assist surgeries.
