Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center seeks a Staff Attorney I to provide legal counsel on bio-medical research, contracts, and regulatory compliance. You will draft, negotiate and finalize agreements, advise management, and assess risks to protect the institution’s interests.

Qualified candidates are licensed Florida attorneys with at least 3 years of practice, strong writing and communication skills, and experience with clinical trial or research agreements.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required; must be licensed to practice law in Florida.
• Experience drafting and negotiating research, health care, and/or clinical trial agreements.
• Strong organization, problem-solving and communication skills; ability to handle confidential information.
• Experience supervising and managing paralegals and support staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and counsel to management and staff on bio-medical research, IP, grants, ethics and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, present, negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements for multiple departments.
• Identify risks, analyze issues, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with compliance, clinical trials office, regulatory, and research administration to reflect objectives in documents.
