Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL seeks an Assistant General Counsel I for Digital Technology Transactions to counsel management on technology contracts, cloud and SAAS, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, and to draft, negotiate, and file agreements.

You will lead complex transactions with healthcare and biotech partners, advise on AI and cybersecurity issues, monitor contract management, and help develop policies while ensuring ethical and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required.
• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
• At least six years of experience with contracting and transactional work.
• State Bar certification preferred; may not require Florida Bar Board Certificate.
• Strong negotiation, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on business transactions and contracting, including tech contracts, consulting agreements, and healthcare contracting.
• Draft, present, negotiate, finalize, and file contracts and other legal agreements.
• Represent Moffitt in negotiations, arbitrations, and mediations with external entities.
• Lead complex transactions with healthcare/biotech partners, including technology transfer terms.
• Audit contracts for compliance; develop and maintain contract management processes.
