H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute seeks an Assistant General Counsel I for Digital Technology Transactions to provide legal advice on technology contracts, procurement, and related regulatory compliance.

The role supports internal clients from contract drafting through execution to ensure ethical and efficient operations. The successful candidate will negotiate software/cloud agreements, counsel on data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI issues, and oversee complex transactions

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required with Florida bar admission.
• Minimum of six years' experience practicing law with contracting/transactional focus.
• Experience negotiating, drafting, and writing in a legal context.
• Ability to lead and supervise paralegals and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on business transactions and contracting, including technology contracts, consulting agreements, and procurement.
• Draft and negotiate software, cloud, SAAS, and other technology contracts; advise on data licensing, privacy, and AI issues.
• Lead complex transactions with healthcare/biotech partners and academic medical centers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies; manage contract lifecycle and payment audits.
