Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Division of Clinical Research seeks a detail‑oriented technician to collect, process, and manage biological specimens, ensuring protocol adherence and rigorous data integrity. You will document accurately, assist with shipping/receiving, and support QA and regulatory activities in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a clinical/research lab; phlebotomy or specimen processing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Public Health or related field.
  • Two years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
  • Phlebotomy or specimen processing experience is a plus; may substitute education with related experience.
  • Strong documentation, data entry and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Specimen collection and processing in accordance with protocol guidelines.
  • Regulatory compliance, record-keeping and quality assurance activities.
  • Laboratory operations support including equipment maintenance and inventory.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams and investigators; participate in team meetings.
