Job summary

Actalent is seeking an entry-level Budget Analyst to develop and negotiate clinical trial budgets in Cincinnati. You will translate protocols into budgeting and billing structures, determine invoiceable costs, and maintain financial data in CTMS and related systems.

Qualifications

• PLUS clinical research experience working with budgets, billing, accounting, finance, financial analyst or related field.
• Entry level; contract to hire arrangement based out of Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

• Develop clinical trial budgets based on study protocols, anticipated procedures, and study requirements.
• Negotiate clinical trial budgets with sponsors and other external stakeholders.
• Review protocols and translate study requirements into accurate budgets and billing structures.
• Determine which costs are invoiceable versus included within per-patient or procedural fees.
• Enter finalized budgets into the CTMS and maintain accurate financial information.
• Review budget and protocol amendments and update the clinical trial system as needed.
• Perform and/or interpret Coverage Analyses (MCA).
• Maintain detailed documentation of budget activity, negotiations, and updates.
• Communicate budget status with study teams, sponsors, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage a portfolio of studies and contribute to budgeting workflow improvements.
• Aim to complete budget negotiations within approximately 90 days.
