Job summary

CHOR YFS in Germantown, PA seeks a Clinical Therapist to deliver intensive therapeutic services to adolescent males in a structured residential setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support behavioral health goals and youth outcomes.

Required: Master’s degree with strong clinical skills; licensure preferred. The role includes on‑call rotation and active engagement in court-related reporting as needed.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Clinical Therapist, you'll provide intensive therapeutic services while working closely with residents, families, probation officers, caseworkers, clinical staff, and other members of the treatment team.

Clinical & Therapeutic Services

Your responsibilities include:

  • Clinically supervise residents while following program policies and ensuring compliance with BARJ principles and best practices.
  • Run and/or co-facilitate therapeutic groups.
  • Meet individually with clients on a weekly or more frequent basis.
  • Manage an approximate caseload of 6 clients.
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans.
  • Complete clinical notes and client charts using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Prepare court reports.
  • Attend court hearings as needed and provide testimony regarding client adjustment, progress, and treatment focus.
Assessments & Documentation
  • Complete quarterly risk assessments, including J-SOAP-II and ERASOR.
  • Complete assessments of global functioning, including CANS and WHODAS.
  • Complete PREA Vulnerability Assessments.
  • Complete required managed‑care documentation.
  • Complete monthly telephonic utilization reviews.
  • Prepare re‑authorization packets, typically on a quarterly basis.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Team Collaboration & Case Coordination
  • Maintain regular contact with juvenile probation officers and/or caseworkers.
  • Coordinate services and treatment planning with members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in required meetings and trainings.
  • Remain available for an after‑hours on‑call rotation, typically one week at a time several times per year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Education & Experience
  • Master's Degree required
  • Specific training and/or experience working with adolescents preferred
  • Clinical licensure is preferred
