Job summary

NHS Scotland in Edinburgh seeks a Clinical Technologist to join the Medical Equipment Management Team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. You will support the delivery of a medical equipment management service across clinical areas.

You will fault-find, repair, perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on highly specialist equipment, contribute to incident investigations, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient care remains safe and equipment is reliable.

Qualifications

• Must have SCQF level 9 in electronics or medical engineering or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience in electronic servicing role.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding and repairing breakdowns of medical equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Assist with investigations of equipment-related incidents and contribute to problem solving in clinical settings.
• Work across multiple hospitals, supporting the delivery of the equipment management service.
