Cleveland Clinic’s H62/H63 Neurology Stepdown Unit provides top‑quality patient care to diverse populations of neurological and medical‑surgical patients. Caregivers in this unit care for young adult, adult, and geriatric patients with varying diagnoses of conditions, such as ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, status epilepticus/seizures, brain tumors, neuromuscular disorders, and spinal injuries. Complex neurological procedures, such as intracranial pressure monitoring, seizure monitoring, lumbar punctures, blood transfusions, corpak placements, cervical traction placements and central/arterial line placement, are commonly done in this unit.
A caregiver in this position works PT, nights, 7:00pm—7:30am.
