EmergencyMD is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our clinic team. You will greet patients, explain the visit, escort them to exam rooms, and perform diagnostic tests prior to physician assessment.
You will document information in the EMR, assist with minor procedures, and educate patients on medications and care. Travel to Kent, Stow, and Fairlawn offices is required as needed.
The Ophthalmic Technician participates in the care of patients in a clinic setting. As an Ophthalmic Technician you will greet patients and explain what they should expect during their appointment. An Ophthalmic Technician escorts the patient to an exam room and performs diagnostic ophthalmic tests and procedures prior to physician seeing them such as visual acuity, tonometry and lensometry. Assures appropriate notes and updates patient chart/records accurately. Maintains clinic environment including sterilization cleaning.
Schedule:
Shift: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri: 7:15 AM – 5:00 PM | Tue: 7:15 AM – 7:00 PM (rotating later shift)
Hours: Full-Time (35–40 hours per week)
Travel: Must be able to travel to our Kent, Stow, and Fairlawn office locations.
