Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 for the Intermediate Progressive Care Unit at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Virginia. This part-time, nights position offers rotating weekends and holidays, with shifts from 7:00PM to 7:30AM and days varying.

You will support licensed staff, provide patient care under supervision, and participate in a six-week paid training program. A high school diploma and BLS are required, with English communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Communicates effectively with team members, patients and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity within the healthcare system.
• Participates in six weeks of paid training (virtual orientations, classroom sessions, and on-unit shifts).

Clinical Technician 1 - Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:
  • Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
  • Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
  • Virtual training modules.
  • On-unit shifts
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American HeartAssociation, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills:Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements:Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
