Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Northern Virginia seeks a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 for the Intermediate Progressive Care Unit. This full-time day shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays.

The role provides direct patient care under RN supervision, emphasizes teamwork and professionalism, and requires a high school diploma and BLS. Training includes six weeks of paid instruction and on-unit shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Learn day-in-the-life of a Clinical Technician 1 via provided resources.
• Provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity within the healthcare system.
• Complete six weeks of paid training: virtual orientations, classroom sessions, virtual modules and on-unit shifts.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Clinical Technician 1 -Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:
  • Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
  • Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
  • Virtual training modules.
  • On-unit shifts
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American HeartAssociation, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills:Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
