Job summary

The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa seeks a Medical Assistant/EMT-LPN hybrid to support the on-site medical clinic. You will greet patients, take vitals, document chief complaints, and prepare them for exams, while coordinating with providers to ensure timely care.

You will perform injections, wound care, injections, EKGs, and routine tests, keep rooms stocked, and maintain clean equipment. A strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical Assistant, EMT, or LPN training program is required.
• Current licensure as LPN or certification as EMT or Medical Assistant is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required.
• One year clinic experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office and email/app use.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain chief complaints, record vitals, and prep for exams.
• Chart information and notify providers when patients are ready.
• Assist providers and perform clinical tasks as directed.
• Conduct EKGs, hearing/vision tests, wound care, injections and meds following safety rules.
• Maintain exam rooms and supplies; sterilize instruments and manage inventory.
• Schedule referrals and coordinate patient follow‑ups.
