Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join the unit-based leadership team. The role involves supervising nursing operations for a specific unit and, in the absence of management, may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.

The position focuses on a defined patient population within the unit. The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree with state licensure, BLS certification, and relevant clinical leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Georgia RN license (or multi-state/compact) or NLC/eNLC.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Preferred

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
