Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead nursing operations on a designated unit in the Atlanta area and beyond. The role includes supervising clinical staff, coordinating patient care, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

The successful candidate will have a BSN, a Georgia RN license, and at least three years of clinical experience (one year in a specialty area), with BLS. ACLS/PALS or other certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years of clinical experience with at least one year in a specialty area; or a BSN with two years in a clinical area.
• Current Georgia RN license (or compact) and BLS certification.
• Color vision requirements vary by unit.
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS, or other specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations on a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager or Director, assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Collaborate with unit leadership to improve patient care quality and outcomes.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Preferred

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
