Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our unit leadership team. You will supervise nursing operations on a designated unit and assume 24-hour responsibility when the Manager or Director is unavailable.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, have 3+ years of clinical experience (1+ year in the specialty), and maintain current Georgia RN licensure with BLS certification. Color vision is required for certain units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Three years of clinical area experience with a minimum of one year in the area of specialty, or BSN or higher with two years in the clinical area and at least one year in the specialty.
• Current license in Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Multistate (NLC/eNLC).
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.
• Visual color acuity as required by the unit.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations of a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager or Director, assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Work with a unit-specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
