Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide regularly scheduled, staff-centered individual clinical supervision.
  • Guide clinicians in trauma-informed crisis assessments and stabilization.
  • Offer clinical consultation for high-acuity cases and safety planning.
  • Assist clinicians with professional development goals and training resources.
  • Assess onboarding progress and provide growth feedback.
  • Monitor caseloads, response times, productivity, and documentation quality.
  • Review and sign clinical documentation; ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide crisis assessments, short-term stabilization, and care coordination.
  • Collaborate with MCI, CBHC, emergency departments, first responders, schools, and families.
  • Engage in meetings, quality-improvement activities, and licensure maintenance.

What You Will Do
  • Provide regularly scheduled, staff-centered individual clinical supervision and document supervision in accordance with BHN guidelines.
  • Guide clinicians in delivering timely, trauma-informed, culturally responsive crisis assessments, interventions, and stabilization services for adults, youth, and families.
  • Provide clinical consultation and oversight for high-acuity and high-risk situations, including risk assessment, safety planning, level-of-care decisions, and diversion from unnecessary emergency department or inpatient care.
  • Help clinicians establish professional-development goals, monitor progress, and connect them with training and resources that strengthen crisis-service competencies.
  • Assess clinicians' core competencies at onboarding and defined milestones, providing feedback and support that promotes growth toward independent practice.
  • Monitor caseloads, response and stabilization timeframes, schedules, productivity, documentation quality and timeliness, service utilization, and other performance expectations.
  • Review and sign required clinical documentation and support compliance with BHN, CBHC, MassHealth, payer, regulatory, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and ethical standards.
  • Provide crisis assessments, short-term stabilization interventions, care coordination, and other direct clinical services as assigned.
  • Collaborate with MCI team members, CBHC services, emergency departments, first responders, families, schools, providers, and community partners to coordinate care and safe transitions.
  • Participate in clinical consultation, program meetings, training, quality-improvement activities, and incident or risk-review processes while maintaining required licensure and continuing education.
Who You Are
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another eligible behavioral health field required.
  • Current independent clinical license in Massachusetts, such as LICSW or LMHC, required.
  • Clinical experience in crisis services, mobile crisis intervention, emergency services, stabilization, or another high-acuity behavioral health setting required.
  • Strong clinical judgment and demonstrated skill in risk assessment, safety planning, crisis intervention, level-of-care determination, and care coordination.
  • Knowledge of CBHC, Mobile Crisis Intervention, MassHealth crisis-service models, medical necessity, and payer documentation expectations preferred.
  • Ability to coach clinicians, provide constructive feedback, and support professional growth and high-quality crisis practice.
  • Cultural responsiveness and the ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds during complex and stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and technology skills, including proficiency with electronic health records, telehealth, email, and common office tools.
