Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Clinical Supervisor for our Detox and Residential treatment facility. You will support the Clinical Director and oversee the daily operations of the clinical program, ensuring a warm, recovery‑oriented environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in a related field, VA licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LSATP), and at least 3 years of experience with chemical dependency or dual diagnosis clients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 3 years of experience with chemical dependency or dual diagnosed clients preferred.
• Current VA licensure to practice: LPC, LCSW, LSATP.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist Clinical Director as necessary in all relevant duties.
• Manage the daily execution of all aspects of the Avenues clinical program.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and encouraging recovery environment.
• Facilitate group occasionally and maintain small client caseload.
• Provide consistent compliance oversight to ensure impeccable client documentation.
• Provide Utilization Review support to drive authorization and retention throughout treatment.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree or higher in related field preferred
• 3 years experience working with chemical dependency or dual diagnosed clients preferred
• Current licensure necessary to practice in this state for this role: LPC, LCSW, LSATP
• Efficient and driven, with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
