The role leads nursing operations on the unit, may assume 24-hour responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director, and works with the care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes while supporting ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 3 years clinical experience with at least 1 year in area of specialty OR BSN with 2+ years, 1 in specialty.
• Current Georgia RN license; BLS certification.
• Color vision as required by unit role.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of unit nursing operations.
• In Manager/Director absence, may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff for optimal patient outcomes.

Northside Hospital Forsyth's Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is a 16-bed adult specialty unit that serves as an extension of critical care, providing advanced monitoring and specialized nursing care for patients who require a higher level of support than a traditional acute care setting. Nurses in the IMCU work alongside a team of physicians, nurses, and support staff dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes while prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and well-being.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

1. Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
2. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
