Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee nursing operations within the unit. You will work collaboratively with nursing staff to provide optimal patient care and assume 24-hour nursing responsibilities in the absence of management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least three years of clinical experience, including supervisory roles. Candidates must hold an active Registered Nurse license in Georgia and relevant BLS certification.

Job description

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

1. Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
2. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED

1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
