Job summary

PATH Therapy Services is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and oversight for its behavioral health programs in Ohio. The role includes supervision of therapists, case managers, and QBHS staff, ensuring trauma-informed, evidence-based practices and regulatory compliance with OMHAS, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other standards.

The Clinical Supervisor will manage quality assurance, staff development, and program growth while maintaining a part-time direct caseload of about 10

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
  • Current Ohio license appropriate to the position (e.g., LISW-S, LPCC-S, IMFT-S).
  • Clinical supervision designation/credentials as required by Ohio regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years of behavioral health/clinical experience with leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, documentation, treatment planning, and QA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of PATH Therapy Services' behavioral health programs.
  • Lead the clinical team, support staff development, monitor quality, ensure compliance.
  • Carry a part-time clinical caseload of ~10 clients per week with individual therapy.

We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership, supervision, quality oversight, and program development as PATH Therapy Services continues to grow.

Position Summary

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing overall clinical leadership and oversight of PATH Therapy Services' behavioral health programs. This position ensures that services are delivered ethically, effectively, consistently, and in accordance with applicable OMHAS, Medicaid, HIPAA, CARF/COA, and other regulatory requirements.

The Clinical Supervisor will lead the clinical team, support staff development, monitor clinical quality, ensure compliance with treatment standards, and collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership team on organizational growth and strategic initiatives.

Clinical Leadership
  • Provide leadership and direction to therapists, behavioral health professionals, case managers, QBHS staff, and other clinical personnel.
  • Establish and maintain high clinical standards across all PATH programs.
  • Ensure services are trauma-informed, person-centered, culturally responsive, and evidence-based.
  • Promote a culture focused on client dignity, safety, recovery, and positive outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and workflows.
Clinical Supervision
  • Ensure appropriate supervision is provided and properly documented.
  • Support clinicians in developing professional competencies and clinical skills.
  • Conduct regular clinical consultation and case reviews.
  • Address clinical performance concerns through coaching, corrective action, and performance improvement plans when appropriate.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision to clinicians who require supervision to meet Ohio licensure and scope-of-practice requirements.
  • Review, co-sign, and sign off on progress notes and clinical documentation for all non-independently licensed clinicians.
Direct Clinical Services
  • Carry a part-time clinical caseload of approximately 10 clients per week, providing individual therapy and other direct behavioral health services.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, discharge planning, and other clinical records meet organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OMHAS, Medicaid, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits, quality assurance activities, accreditation preparation, and regulatory reviews.
  • Identify clinical risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Officer and leadership team on compliance and risk-management initiatives.
Program Development
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and services that address community behavioral health needs.
  • Evaluate existing services and recommend improvements.
  • Support the expansion of community-based, outpatient, and other behavioral health services.
  • Establish measurable clinical outcomes and monitor program effectiveness.
  • Assist leadership with strategic planning and organizational growth.
Team Development
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain qualified clinical professionals in collaboration with organizational leadership.
  • Establish and enforce expectations for clinical staff performance.
  • Develop and facilitate clinical training and continuing education opportunities.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Recognize high performance and address performance concerns promptly and fairly.
  • Provide consultation regarding complex clinical cases and high-risk situations.
  • Ensure appropriate procedures are followed for crisis intervention, suicide risk, abuse/neglect reporting, incident reporting, and other safety concerns.
  • Review significant clinical incidents and participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure client rights and grievance procedures are consistently implemented.
  • Promote continuity of care and appropriate referrals to community resources.
Collaboration & Community Relations
  • Develop collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, referral sources, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent PATH Therapy Services professionally within the behavioral health community.
  • Participate in meetings with referral partners and community stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current Ohio clinical license appropriate to the position, such as LISW-S, LPCC-S, IMFT-S, or other applicable independent supervision clinical licensure.
  • Clinical supervision designation/credentials as required for the position and applicable Ohio regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years of behavioral health/clinical experience, preferably including clinical leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, clinical documentation, treatment planning, and quality assurance.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and complex behavioral health needs.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director, Program Director, or similar leadership role.
  • Experience with OMHAS certification/accreditation.
  • Experience with Medicaid behavioral health services and audits.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision to independently licensed and/or provisionally licensed clinicians.
  • Knowledge of school-based and community-based behavioral health services.
  • Experience with electronic health records and clinical quality-management systems.
