Job summary

The Village's Eagle House program in Hartford, CT seeks a Clinical Supervisor to provide supervision and leadership for Family Support Specialists and related staff, ensuring quality care for youth. You will oversee therapeutic groups, treatment planning, and documentation, while maintaining a small clinical caseload and coordinating with nursing, education, and residential teams.

CT licensure, 3 years of experience with children and families, and supervisory experience are required; the

  • Clinical degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy or other licensed counseling degree.
  • CT licensure is required.
  • Three years of experience working with children and families, supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision, coaching, orientation, and professional development for Family Support Specialists and related staff.
  • Lead treatment planning, clinical documentation review, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee development and scheduling of therapeutic groups and aftercare programming.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote coordinated care and strong team functioning.
  • Respond to parent concerns in partnership with nursing, education, and residential teams.

ABOUT EAGLE HOUSE

Program Overview

  • 24-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) servingchildren ages 6–12
  • Functions as a step-down or diversion from inpatient hospitalization
  • Serves youth with severe emotional and behavioral challengesrelated to significant trauma and their families
  • Average length of stay: 4-6 months
  • Goal: stabilize youth and prepare them for transition tocommunity-based care, family, or foster placement
  • Provides intensive, trauma-informed care focused onrelationship-building and skill development
  • Services include:
    • Psychiatry and nursing evaluations
    • Individual, group, and family therapy
    • Case management
    • Therapeutic recreation
    • Special education services

Position Overview – Clinical Supervisor

  • Provide clinical andadministrative supervision, coaching,orientation,performanceevaluations, and professionaldevelopmentfor FamilySupport Specialists, CaseManagers, interns,anddesignated staff.
  • Provide clinical leadershipduring treatment teammeetings andsupportstaff through consultation, coaching, andexperientiallearning opportunities.
  • Oversee thedevelopment, scheduling, and quality oftherapeuticgroups toensure services meetthe needs ofyouth.
  • Review and approveclinical documentationfor quality,accuracy,and timeliness.
  • Maintain a smallclinical caseload asneededand providedirectclinical services, includingassessment, treatment planning,risk management, familyengagement, and discharge planning.
  • Support on-call clinicians, monitor emergency communications, andensure timelycompletion of clinicalassessments.
  • Overseeutilization management including insuranceauthorizationsand reauthorizations.
  • Lead quality improvementinitiativesthrough case recordreviews,productivity monitoring, and program dashboardanalysis.
  • Oversee aftercareprogramming for clients post discharge.
  • Develop and leadfamily engagement initiatives, including parentsupportgroups and multi-family programming.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinarydepartments topromoteeffective communication, coordinated care, andpositive team functioning.
  • Respond to andresolve parent concernsin partnershipwithnursing, education, and residentialteams.

Experience and Skills

Education

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

  • CT licensure is required.
  • Three years of experience working with children and families required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
